Wild Rabbits and Pet Rabbits

Rabbits are small little animals that people have as pets and they also live in the wild! Wild rabbits live in many parts of the world. Typically, rabbits live in the thickest forests, meadows and woods. Rabbits live underground in burrows or rabbit holes. A group of burrows is called a warren, A warren has underground rooms. These are dug by the females. Many of the litle rooms are linked by narrow tunnels. The warren is a home for rabbits and also a place for raising babies. During the winter the rabbits turn white to protect them from predators. A rabbit that lives in the wild has many predators like the fox, eagle, wolf and coyote. Wild rabbits eat grass, berries of all kinds, bark and other vegetation.

Pet rabbits generally like to eat grass. For a pet rabbit, the most natural life would be to run loose in the garden, grazing on the lawn, eating lots of plants and vegetables and stripping bark from trees. Pet rabbits also need good quality hay. Not only is hay important for nutrition, but it also keeps bunnies busy so they stay out of trouble. Chewing hay also makes a rabbits teeth and jaw stronger. Rabbits should also have access to fresh water at all times.

As you can see, there are similarities and differences between wild and pet rabbits. One important thing they have in common is that they both need lots of fresh fruits and vegetables to survive!

Indoor Cats VS. Outdoor Cats!

Cats! Indoor cats or outdoor cats; who will win? My cats' post will explain to people how different indoor cats are from outdoor cats as pets. First of all, indoor cats tend to live longer than the average outdoor cat because they live in a protected environment and don't have as many threats as outdoor cats. Outdoor cats don't live as long because there are several dangers like poison that gardeners put in their gardens to keep the bugs away. An outdoor cat can even die from garbage that is lying around outside your home. If you have an outdoor cat make sure you don't use any poisonous chemicals anywhere around your property. Outdoor cats also have a much different appetite than an indoor cat because they hunt and feed themselves, so they can eat when ever they want! Indoor cats have a predictable appetite because you are the one feeding her/him. If you are planing on getting a cat that is good and loving, I would suggest that you get an indoor cat because they are alot more lovable. An outdoor cat is very shy and never really wants to be near humans. Personally, after writting this pharagraph I'd have to say I like indoor cats because of all the reasons I talked about. For your input on this please comment!
Thank You.

Bears

Did you know that there are four main species of bears in Canada? They are black bear, brown bear, Polar bear and Kermode (or Spirit) Bear. In Canada, it is very important to protect all species of bears. Did you know that bears are very intelligent mammals? For example, if you were to leave your garbage outside, and a bear managed to get in to the bin, next time you leave your garbage that same bear will come back and eat it again. This same thing will keep happening. As a result, it is a really good idea to just put your garbage out on the morning of when the garbage truck comes. Humans are the real reason bears keep getting shot or relocated by RCMP and conservation officers. If we keep making the same mistake there will soon be no bears left in the world. So, PROTECT OUR BEARS!!Bears are also a main tourist attraction in Canada. For example, when I was driving up to Whistler in the middle of summer, about 18 cars and taxis were pulled to the side just to get one picture of the brown bear. This is also a hazard because a bear can easily get frustrated when people are surrounding it and taking pictures. This can cause the bear to attack, then RCMP and conservation officers will likely have to relocate the bear or put it down if it returns to the location again! In all, I hope this teaches you a lesson about how to treat bears of all kinds!?!?

Dolphins

Do you like tropical places. Have you ever been to a tropical place? If you have did you play with dolphins? If you did, have you ever considered that in some places people slaughter dolphins for their meat. Here is a video that I hope will teach you a lesson. Dolphins are very precious animals.: I hope that after watching this video you will try to stop the world from all the animal cruelty.

Dogs and Puppies

Dogs are great family pets. They keep you warm at night. They keep you company and they make sure that you get outside more than once a day.Do you have friends and family that are allergic to dogs? If you do, well, you should consider getting a dog that does not shed like maybe a Greyhound or a Portugese Water Dog. If you live in an apartment and are thinking of getting a dog, keep in mined your dog will have to have some exercise every day. Your dog will also have to go to the bathroom more than twice a day. Being a dog owner, I would highly recommend that you kennel train your dog. One time When I was at school my dog chewed the wall. I hope you will consider getting a puppy or a dog because there are so many homeless dogs around!!!
